Jr. Lifeguards Where Kids Become HeroeS

DIVE INTO ADVENTIRE: WILD RIVERS JR. LIFEGUARDS PROGRAM (AGES 6 - 12)
*NO SELF-CHECKOUT PERMITTED

IS MY LITTLE LIFEGUARD READY FOR CAMP?

Get Ready to Make Waves! Make sure your camper knows that our summer camp activities are all pre-planned, and we’ll be moving as a crew. Throughout the week, campers will learn awesome lifeguard skills, jump into fun games, and enjoy splash-tastic moments in the park. Just a heads up: specific slide requests may not be possible every day.

Leader-in-Training (HALF DAY) Pilot Program (Invite Only)

Hey future leaders!  You’ve already been a camper at our Jr Lifeguards Camp at Wild Rivers, and now you’re ready to level up.  The Leader-in-Training (LIT) program is your chance to learn what it takes to be an role model, a helper, and maybe even a Lifeguard one day. You’ll be working alongside camp staff, lifeguards, and other LITs to build skills that will help you at camp and beyond.  This program is all about, learning how to be a great leader, helping younger campers have fun and stay safe, practicing teamwork and communication and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how camp works!

Explore authentic camp memories captured throughout the season at Wild Rivers Waterpark Summer Camp.

Slide into Fun

Our thrilling water slides have height requirements ranging from 36″ to 54″. We offer low, moderate, and high-thrill rides to accommodate different comfort levels. Camp Counselors carefully select which towers and attractions each group visits based on the campers’ confidence and preferences. We strive to pair thrill seekers with fellow adventure enthusiasts, while grouping those who prefer the relaxing Castaway River and the splash-filled fun of Cook’s Cove together. Our goal is to ensure every camper enjoys a safe, exciting, and age-appropriate experience while creating unforgettable memories throughout the day.

Age-Appropriate Skills

On Monday we will do a swimming assessment for all campers. Based on the kid’s swim aptitude and age, we have designated lifeguard activities we teach that are tailored to their abilities. Less advanced swimmers may practice rescue techniques in the shallow waters, while advanced swimmers may dive into the deeper waters! In ALL activities, skills, and games around the park, certified Lifeguards are always present.

No Gadgets Allowed

Water and electronics don’t mix, and we want to keep distractions to a minimum. Please leave cell phones, handheld games, watches, and other devices at home—these can easily get wet, damaged, or lost in all the fun If your camper needs to call home, they can splash over to the camp director.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS.

Can My Kid Switch Age Groups to Be with Their Friends?

We recommend that kiddos stay with their own age group for the best experience. But if they really want to hang with a younger buddy, the older camper can “slide” down to a younger group.

What About Family Members?

Siblings, cousins, or family friends can totally stick together—as long as the older kids are willing to move to the younger age group.

Are Groups Based on Swimming Ability?

Nope! Groups are based on age. Everyone gets a swim test on Day 1 to gauge their ability, but the fun is age-organized

Why Group by Age?

We do this for 2 reasons:

Height matters on slides! Each ride at Wild Rivers has different height restrictions and grouping by age helps ensure everyone gets the right ride for them

Junior Lifeguard Skills: Whether it’s practicing water rescues or learning to dive into the deep end, we tailor these experiences by age to make sure everyone’s learning at their own level
